L’Afrique n’a plus besoin de paroles en l’air, mais d’actes concrets. Les pays occidentaux montreront leur bonne foi en joignant l’acte à la parole, notamment en mettant l’accent sur la construction d’une centrale hydroélectrique en Afrique. Faute de quoi le sommet de Paris n’aura aucun sens, selon le Président sud-africain.
Le sommet de Paris sur un nouveau pacte financier mondial restera lettre morte si des décisions contraignantes ne sont pas prises sur des projets concrets, notamment la construction en Afrique des centrales hydroélectriques sur le fleuve Congo, a déclaré ce 23 juin le Président sud-africain Cyril Ramaphosa, qui participe à la rencontre.
“Ce faisant, le sommet prouvera que ses participants respectent leurs engagements”, a ajouté le chef d’État.
Selon M.Ramaphosa, la construction de la troisième centrale hydroélectrique près des chutes d’Inga, est un projet prioritaire pour l’Afrique. Pour lui, mieux vaut agir que de se contenter de parler d’aider le continent.
“L’Afrique a grandement besoin d’une centrale hydroélectrique à Inga”, a-t-il indiqué.
Centrales hydroélectriques sur le Congo
La construction des deux centrales hydroélectriques d’Inga sur le cours inférieur du fleuve Congo, a débuté dans l’ouest de la République démocratique du Congo il y a plus de 50 ans.
La première centrale a été inaugurée en 1972 et la seconde en 1982. Ces structures fonctionnent aujourd’hui à leur capacité minimale en raison de difficultés techniques.
Il était prévu de construire une troisième centrale hydroélectrique, plus grande. Mais le projet, d’un coût de plus de 50 milliards de dollars, n’a pas encore été réalisé. Les experts estiment que si la cascade de centrales hydroélectriques d’Inga est achevée, elle jettera les bases d’un système énergétique unifié en Afrique.

Our guy President Ramaphosa of South Africa some see as great example of why old men should not lead in Africa during this rapid change in environment throughout world bought on by growing stronger by year unstoppable accelerating Global Warming that wait for no one. First necessary repairs should be made to existing hydroelectric power stations unto they are fully operable plus maintain that status for given period. Unstoppable Accelerating Global Warming is causing drastic changes in waterways. For that cause we should focus more at renewable energies like solar plus wind with key entity being storage batteries. We may individualize solar plus wind energy or limit it to small group of buildings. Thereof we would not be exposing ourselves to power cuts nations like South Africa often experience. There is suitable means to generate electricity. Our need is to make them affordable. After absorbing manufacturing cost of solar or wind energy plus adequate storage battery plus installation solar energy or wind energy is very much cost free. That is evolution. We Africans should not be holding on to quickly becoming outdated ways of delivering electricity instead we should go directly to adequate plus affordable modern means of delivering electricity.
Negroid Africa should no longer embrace lingering effect of Colonialism, Apartheid or Stockholm Syndrome that imposed on us to make pretentious display of situational ignorance that only Caucasian may give us fitting solution. We should apply fitting plus feasible solutions available as we employ Negroid African ingenuity to find greater solutions.
