Parts of Car Wheel
1. Wheel Bearings:
The rotating wheels as well as those of the static vehicle are joined through wheel bearings. They make a low-friction connection. Anti-friction wheels are fitted to each of the 4 wheels. The three main components of an anti-friction sleeve are the rolling, inner as well as the outer race. Bearing cages divide the rolling parts when they bend. The shield or seal that keeps the lubricant inside while keeping water and dirt out, is an additional part of the anti-friction components.
2. Tires:
Tires help support the vehicle's weight as well as absorb road shocks. transmit traction, torque and braking force to the road surface and help keep the vehicle moving in the correct direction. In order to accomplish this the tires are composed of flexible rubber that is filled with air compressed. They are an integral part of suspension. Tires are covers of protection which protect wheel rims from touching or hitting the ground.

3. Wheel Hub:
A wheel hub acts as the wheel part which connects the rim with the hub. Brake pads, brake calipers, and rotors are all located in this hub. The brakes are linked to the axle and allows the vehicle to move and stop. Wheel hubs are connected to the tires. five bolts that are connected to the lug nuts are positioned on the hub's central point. It houses the wheel's mechanicals and keeps it linked to the automobile.
4. Wheel Rims:
Wheel rims serve as the connection between hubs and tires. The tire is placed on the rim, and joined with the hub. Rims are typically made from stamped steel. The rim is made by stamping and welding it to form the final shape. Wheel mounting holes are situated in the central part. A second stamping process is employed to fix the wheel cover to certain wheels.
5. Wheel Fasteners:
The method by which the rim is attached to the axle or hub flange is a crucial factor in tire and wheel design. Wheel fasteners can be found in nearly every car and trucks axle hub or flange. Threaded bolts or studs which are pressed into the hub or flange are the most popular wheel studs. To ensure that the stud is not free, a sensitive area at the back of the stud is made into the axle or hub metal.

6. Valve System:
The valve mechanism in the car tire inflates and deflates the tires. The valve mechanism in the wheels of the car is linked to the tire pressure monitoring system, which allows the driver to track the pressure in all time.
7. Barrel:
The barrel forms the space in the vehicle wheel that lies between the outside face and the edge of the inlet rim. The function of the barrel is to create a smooth surface for the tire's attachment. Its drop center decides the type of wheel that is mounted is the diameter inside of the barrel. Drop centers are located near in front for cars with front wheels. However the rear-wheel drive vehicle has drop centers at the rear on the back of the wheel.
8. Flanges:
A wheel flange connects car's wheel to its axle. They are connected mechanically with the drive axle, or to the spindle's end. Additionally, they are placed between the wheels' sides to stop the tire from falling off in the process.
9. Center Cap:
The wheels and tires are protected from sun and dirt with top-quality car wheel covers. Wheel covers for cars are extremely beneficial, especially for those who park their cars in public spaces. The spokes are situated in center of the wheel as well as the Center Cap is situated in the middle. This Center Cap can be removed from various models. The majority of wheel rims don't have a removable center cap.
10. Center Bore:
The machined hole that is located in between the wheels guarantees that it is placed on the vehicle. The hub-centricity feature of a wheel minimizes the chance of vibration. It's usually an area that is functional space that is extending over the axle and helps support the weight of the vehicle. It is not possible to mount with the brand new wheel if hub collar's diameter is greater than the bore in the center.
11. Lug Hole:
On the middle disc the lug hole typically cut into the shape of a circle. This is the hole in which the lugnut bolts into place. The spaces that are left empty by the cap's mid-cap are referred to as the lug holes. The diameter of the bolt circle is the size of the circle created through the lug hole. The lug nuts are inserted into the lug holes on the axle of the vehicle, securing the wheel's hub onto the threaded wheel bolt anchoring the wheel and ensuring it is properly centered to the wheel's axle. It's a nut-fastener with a conical or a round end.
